CIBSE and REHVA: Introducing two new faces to project iSERV

CIBSE and REHVA are two very important facilitators and promoters for the iSERVcmb project. CIBSE is the authority on building services engineering in the United Kingdom; REHVA is the federation of European heating, ventilation and air conditioning associations. Both organisations assigned new representatives to work for iSERVcmb – we are proud to introduce Dr Jacquelyn Fox (CIBSE) and Anita Derjanecz (REHVA).

Dr Jacquelyn Fox
Dr Jacquelyn Fox is Head of Sustainability for CIBSE and has 20 years of experience in energy efficiency and sustainability within the commercial and domestic sectors of the construction industry. Jacquelyn has a first degree in engineering, and a PhD from UCL in energy efficiency. She was previously Head of Group Sustainability for one of the UK’s largest developers, has worked on Air Conditioning projects in the Middle East and published several academic Papers. She also developed a key BS EN 13141/1-6- Test methodology for residential ventilation systems which contributed towards the changes proposed for the Building Regulations Approved Document Parts L and F- 2006 revisions.

“CIBSE believes project iSERVcmb is an important and timely piece of research. It is particularly timely in the UK given the concerns about UK energy supply and the greater acknowledgement by government that reducing demand is a simple cost effective way of keeping the lights on. The Project will also help to address the current concerns regarding the mismatch between; ‘Predicted energy use in buildings and actual use in operation.'”

Anita Derjanecz

Anita Derjanecz is MSc in European studies with more than 10 years of experience in EU affairs, regional development and innovation, as well as in coordination and management of EU projects. Before joining REHVA she has worked as regional representative to the EU focusing on energy and R&D / innovation policies, and also at a private company providing market intelligence and EU public affairs services in the natural refrigeration sector.

“Working in the regional development sector I also dealt with the promotion of energy efficiency investments in public buildings. I see the importance of iSERVcmb in the fact that it helps to significantly decrease energy consumption without big investments, simply through improving the management of the HVAC systems and changing user behavior. The reporting features of iSERVcmb identify, demonstrate and benchmark the energy saving possibilities in a user friendly and convincing way.”
